Henry Mu was born in NYC and raised in Tokyo, Japan. He earned his degree in
Management Information Systems (MIS) at the University of Massachusetts, along
with a minor degree in Marketing.
In 2002, Henry established his first R.E.
management company, Lifted Properties, on Boston’s renowned Newbury St. and
expanded this business throughout the country. As restaurateur/lounge owner of Lot 401, he received accolades such as “Best 20 New Restaurants in America” from Esquire Magazine and was invited in 2004 to the James Beard Foundation with
Executive Chef Rachel Klein in recognition of the restaurant’s culinary excellence.
Henry’s passion for food is matched by his love for film and music. His production
company, Lifted Productions, has created numerous noteworthy movies and music
videos, and as founder of “evos,” he has ventured into electronic audio manufacturing of high-end audio headphones, with offices in Milan and Hong Kong, counting MTV
and Viacom among its collaborators for the 2016 EMAs in Rotterdam.
Henry’s latest venture partners with Lifted Testing Labs, a full-service cannabis testing facility focused
on quality control for public health and safety. It is poised to evolve toward providing full-scale testing on all cannabis and CBD products as US laws continue to deregulate.

Dr. Cesar A. Marquez is Director of Lifted Testing Laboratories. He completed his doctoral studies at Basel University in Switzerland and Jacobs University in Germany, where he specialized in supramolecular chemistry. He later undertook two postdoctoral positions; the first at the Centre for Research in Mass Spectrometry at York University, Canada, where his project centered in the biophysical aspects of Alzheimer disease. His second post was at the Institut für Reine und Angewandte Chemie at Carl von Ossieztky University in Oldenburg, Germany, where he developed new approaches for the mass spectrometric detection and identification of short-lived intermediates in catalyzed reactions.
 
Dr. Marquez’s professional experience extends across several disciplines within both academia and bioanalytical industry, including mass spectrometry, bioinformatics, and bioanalytical chemistry, and in various scientific ventures in Switzerland, Canada, Spain, Germany, and the United States. In the analytical realm, Dr. Marquez has directed R&D and Method Development and Validation teams in accordance with corporate, customer, and regulatory guidelines, providing scientific and technical guidance to internal teams, partner institutions, and clients. Dr. Marquez is knowledgeable in GLP, GMP, CMC, and other FDA, ICH, and EMA regulations.

Mackenna Martinez studied Biology at the University of Vermont with a focus in pharmacology. Her studies in medical cannabis led to her professional pursuits in the cannabis industry. She is now a Scientist at Lifted Testing Laboratory, leading analyses in residual solvents and terpenes, and is responsible for method development and validation for metals analysis via inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry. Mackenna’s resourcefulness, dedication, and reliability are key features of her role on the Lifted Testing Laboratory’s team.
